Small analog stick uses iPhone camera




A new concept for an analog joystick shows that such an accessory is not too much space to take. Researchers at Keio University in Japan have invented a joystick that utilizes the iPhone camera. By registering the movements can be converted into these signals. For the joystick uses special 'GelForce technology. Big advantage is that the joystick takes up little space and is easy to connect.\




Devising a new joystick was not the primary objective of the study GelForce . This technique was originally to be used in making a sensor in the form of a finger for use with a robot hand. The implementation of the technology in an analog joystick for most consumers will be more to the imagination.


Besides the camera of the iPhone the joystick can be used on all devices. By using such a joystick as a gamer you more space on your screen. Also, your screen is not dirty because you do not need to touch. Or joystick ever actually on the market will come is not yet known.
