Sculpteo: Put your face on a mug with 3D iPhone App

The iPhone app of the French company Sculpteo makes it easy for anyone to use a 3D printer or a vase to make their own cup. By the app from a photograph of the side of your face, you can try it in three dimensions on a piece of tableware and place on the website of the service order.

Currently there are five pieces of crockery from Sculpteo order: three cups and two vases. There are also several other items available such as an auto-adjust iPhone case or an artifact, but this can not be the contours of your face, use the design to adapt.

You make the app from a photograph of the side of your face, then the lines are detected automatically by the app. Next, you specify where your brow and your chin will start. This you have to do with a neutral background: there is something in the background, then picks up the app as it is sometimes the contours of your face. Then you get a 3D model of the result to see that you can order the selected object.

The cheapest cup will cost you $ 39, while a vase at least $ 300 lost. There is approximately $ 16 charged for shipping on top. Try the app will cost you nothing.
