Samsung is making strong quarter thanks to rising smartphone sales


Samsung in the fourth quarter of 2011 turned a good quarter. The profit amounted to 3.5 billion euros, up 22 percent from the previous quarter. Especially the growing smartphone sales resulted in higher profits in other divisions such as televisions and chips went back revenues. How many phones Samsung has just sold was not disclosed, something that Samsung traditionally never does, but is expected to have between 32 and 35 million smartphones have sold out. The previous quarter, there were at most 24 million.





The success of the Samsung Galaxy S II has contributed to the profits of the South Korean company. The Samsung Galaxy Note (with the large 5.3 inch screen) and the Galaxy Nexus did both well.
