Facebook Chat is becoming increasingly popular. A new feature in Facebook Chat now makes it possible to profile pictures of friends and Facebook pages as emoticons to use in your conversations.







Profile Photos as smileys
The use of smileys, also on Facebook, is still a common way to show emotion in a conversation. You can now also the profile photo of a friend or a Facebook page, as in the image below shows.





How to use profile photos as smileys?
Posting a profile picture as an emoticon in Facebook Chat is done as follows:

1. Start a Facebook chat with a friend on Facebook.

2. Type [[name]] or [[User ID]] of a friend or Facebook page .*

3. Impress everyone on Facebook Chat with their profile picture as smileys.


* For the username or user ID of a Facebook Friend or Facebook page , go to the profile and take the name or user id into the url.
