HTC will release fewer smartphones in 2012



HTC plans to lower this year to bring smartphone models than in 2011. The Taiwanese company is focused on a few machines. The plethora of HTC devices, the manufacturer has done well in recent years but this strategy does not seem to work. The variations of the HTC Sensation as the Sensation XL and XE Sensation did not hit too well and the last quarter , the company for the first time in two years significantly reduced profits.



The director of the British branch of HTC, Phil Roberson, said in an interview with Mobile Today that HTC is working on some high-end devices to prepare for the second quarter of 2012. According to Robertson HTC intensify their focus on great hardware and a good user experience. In 2011, HTC have much to do. She now wants to return to the former 'Hero Device Strategy, a nod to the successful HTC Hero .


HTC has to have suffered a lot of the success of Samsung. The manufacturer managed to score well with the Samsung Galaxy S II and Nexus Galaxy , HTC did not really know when to renew. At the Consumer Electronics Show CES HTC did not present new Android devices. All eyes are now focused on Mobile World Congress with the first units of the new 2012 line-up are expected.
