How to unlock the iPhone 4, 3GS with Ultrasn0w 1.2.5 on IOS 5.0.1


Those from Dev Team have updated to version 1.2.5 Ultrasn0w tool with which we can now unlock our terminals running IOS 5.0.1. 1.2.5 Ultrasn0w nothing new since the previous version, only compatible with iOS 5.0.1.



WARNING Ultrasn0w iOS 1.2.5 is only compatible with 5.0.1, NOT and baseband that comes with it, the utility can only be used to unlock baseband sites that could be unlocked and so far that:


iPhone 3GS: 26/04/08, 11/05/07, 12/05/01, 05/13/04, 06/15/00;


iPhone 4: 1.59.00.


Otherwise, if you have any other baseband, Ultrasn0w not help you unlock your iPhone. Eventually, if you have an iPhone 4, you can use a card that works very well GEVEY new iOS 5/5.0.1, but also must have a maximum of iOS 4.3.5 baseband, ie 04.10.01. To use the IOS 5.0.1 1.2.5 Ultrasn0w need to update the new IOS only by creating a custom firmware using either Sn0wbreeze 2.8b11 ( tutorial here for Windows) or RedSn0w 0.9.9b9d (tutorial here just for iPhone 4 and Mac OS X / Windows).



After you have successfully installed the new custom firmware 5.0.1 jailbroken IOS, you must install from Cydia Ultrasn0w following the steps below.




Step 1:


  • Open Cydia
  • Click on the Manage tab
  • Then click on the section Sources









  • Take the top right Edit button, press it. I'll see a pop-up in which you must enter the source http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com > Add Source






  • After the source added, looking Ultrasn0w 1.2.5 and install it.






Step 2:

Restart phone, then you should use it on any network.
