Step 1. Go to Facebook.com and sign up.
Step 2. Go to the "Delete Account" page on the Facebook website. You can only go to this page after you've logged in, and it is not accessible from the options in your profile settings. If your account "disable" from your settings, the account is deactivated but remains in the system.
Step 3. Click "Submit" to confirm that you want to delete the account. You will automatically be logged out and your account is put on the list for removal. Accounts are not cleared until several hours after you "submit" acknowledgment. This is done to protect accounts in case a user inadvertently press the "submit" button is pushed.
Step 4. Look after your email. If the account is permanently deleted and removed from the system, Facebook will send a message to the email address associated with the deleted account. This is the last message you will be eligible to hold on to this account and it is completely erased.
