Apple pulls iPhone game Vector Tanks offline under pressure from Atari



The iPhone game Vector Tanks is gone from the App Store. According to the developer duped is that since the Atari hunt for illegal copies of classics opened. Atari, Apple would put pressure to remove these games. At the moment is only the name of a famous game removed, Vector Tanks Black Powder Media. This is a game reminiscent of Atari's Battlezone. The evil developer claims he has tried to change the content of Atari Vector Tanks for licensing to develop, but it was not possible to get in touch with them. It seemed like Atari "had disappeared from the earth."




Apple was apparently reached, because they took the 3D online game without further consultation. The developer talks about a "special relationship" between Apple and Atari, so they do not take the trouble to the party to speak. "Everything on a classic Atari seems, has got a copyright claim," says developer Black Powder Media on Kickstarter page that they have opened to a future game development.
