55.5 percent of all Android devices running on Gingerbread



The latest figures show that Google Gingerbread is still the most popular Android version. 55.5 percent of active devices running Android on Android 2.3. Unlike a month back now Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich found in the user statistics on www.google.com. The latest version of Google's mobile operating system has a share of 0.6 percent. The share of Froyo is slightly decreased compared to the previous survey to 30.4 percent.

The developer can on this basis a decision for which versions of their apps can best be optimized. Thus 94.4 percent of all devices running on Android 2.x and is currently the dominant version. The proportion of Honeycomb has also increased, from 2.5 to 3.3 percent but this may again take if Ice Cream Sandwich with existing tablets are equipped as the ASUS Prime Transformer at the earliest on January 12 though Android 4.0 is expected.




Since the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus S remains the only devices with Ice Cream Sandwich, is also to estimate how many Galaxy Nexus phones currently sold already.
