This guide describes how to go about the untethered jailbreak your iPhone 3G and iPhone 4 if you are in need of unlock. As the program used is PwnageTool (as well as Sn0wbreeze soon) preserves your Baseband which is vital to unlock the device with Ultrasn0w.För to implement the wizard, you must have access to a computer (Mac or Windows) as well as a cord that you can connect your device to your computer.

Step 1 - Download software
The first thing you should do is download the PwnageTool (or snow breeze, which should be launched soon), see link below.
- PwnageTool_5.0.1.dmg
- Sn0wbreeze (coming soon)
You must also download iOS 5.0.1 for the device you want to jailbreak. Thus, you should jailbreak your iPhone 4, download iOS 5.0.1 for iPhone 4 and so on.

Step 2 - Open up and realize your jailbreak
Start by opening up PwnageTool. You will be greeted by an information page. Click on OK.
When the information page is gone, select " Expert mode "and the device you want to jailbreak. This guide is an iPhone 4 in use. Please note that if you must jailbreak an iPod, iPhone or Apple TV, the following picture wrong.
You will be asked to select your ipsw file, then the version of IOS that you want to jailbreak. Select iOS 5.0.1 for the device you want to jailbreak. Again, I note that this guide jailbreak iPhone 4, in other words, your file will have a different name if you do NOT jailbreak iPhone 4.
Step 3 - Build your software
After you select your device and Expert mode you will now see a menu that will help you through this adventure. First, select General .
In general, you now have an option that is extremely important if it is so that you do NOT have a SIM card belonging to the operator that your iPhone is locked to. That is to say, you have a Telia-locked iPhone, but no Telia-card, you must select Activate the phone. The opposite is true of course if you have a Telia-card to a Telia-locked iPhone and so on.
Step 4 - Cydia Settings

Step 5 - Installing Cydia

Step 6 - Build your ipsw
Now you have come so far that the settings for your ipsw is complete. In doing so, simply click on Build.
PwnageTool will now be asked for your administrator password, enter it and then let the process forward.
Step 7 - Put your iPhone in DFU
PwnageTool will now guide you into DFU. Follow the instructions in the program and wait for the blue-light from the software. If you make a mistake, you do not have to worry about, then just do it until you succeed.
Step 8 - Restore your iPhone with custom IPSW
Now open iTunes, you will now get a message that iTunes has found a device in recovery mode.
Press the reset while holding the Alt key (Mac) or Shift (Windows), then select your created custom IPSW.
