Facebook introduced a completely new profile page . Now you may have directly on the green button on this page you clicked to advance to give timeline but there is also a way for the new profile page on right so you do not have to wait a few weeks. Here are the steps to Timeline directly activated.

Timeline to instantly activate first add the Developer app to your Facebook account by here on this page to give consent.
On the page that then comes into the picture right click on the button "Create New App". Then fill in the fields App and App Namespace Display name with something random. Agree to the terms and conditions and click the Continue button.
Enter the code that comes into the picture and click on the blue Submit button.
You are next to a page with basic settings for the new application. On the left side of the menu item Open Graph. On the resulting page, enter an action in the field and also select from the menu, such as choosing to book.
Then click the green button Get started.
And then you are ready, the new profile page should be available. Go back to your own profile and see if a message is hither to Timeline mode.
Click in the block on the button "Get it Now" and then the new page immediately. You will see the option to "Start Tour" button to the main components of Timeline to go through. When you are finished looking around and possibly supplement your profile click on the Publish button to permanently activate the new page. Seeing only developers your new profile, all user later.
Note that timeline is not yet final and that there are bugs can carry.
