The new version has been build number 9A406, while last month released build number 9A405. Apparently the changes are so minimal, that Apple did not require a new version number to assign to it. Although we have no confirmation, the update may be related to the launch of the iPhone 4S in Russia and Brazil. IPhones in the market who are still running on IOS 5.0 and must immediately update. The iPhone 4S will be available from December 16 (Friday is) on the market.
Have you manually ipsw file downloaded above, you choose in iTunes to restore your phone and scroll to the specified ipsw file. For most users, this procedure is not necessary.
You just have to install if you have an iPhone 4S and still sits on iOS 5.0. In all other cases, you can skip the update. Even if you want to jailbreak you'd better think carefully before you install the update.
Currently iOS 5.0.1 the latest version of the iPhone system. Developers can have a couple of weeks testing beta versions of IOS 5.1, but that is not yet available to the general public.
Apple TV gets updated to 4.4.4
Today Apple released a software update for the second generation Apple TV. Version 4.4.4 has build number 9A406a, but there is not stated what has changed. The direct download is 378 MB. Last month, have version 4.4.3 of the Apple TV software. There was support for Netflix in Mexico and an audio output problem solved. This latter problem occurred when the connected television was off.
